Here I am with another FOTD for you guys!  It’s been a while since my last post, and even though today is my birthday, I have to commit to the cause and start getting stuff done on here!

Whilst I was doing my makeup for the birthday dinner which shall commence in a few hours, I thought I might as well make a new post out of it. Recently I’ve fallen in love with the orange trend and took a (baby)step further out of the neutral comfort zone.

Base: MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre
Lid: MAC Samoa Silk, MAC Amber Lights, MAC Mulch
Brow bone: INGLOT Pearl 395
Lashes: Hema Volume  Mascara in Brown
Eyebrows: Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow in 10

Samoa Silk, a beautiful orange matte shade which I have completely fallen in love with, went onto the whole eye lid, only putting Amber Lights in 1/2 of the lid, just to add some more warmth and sheen, whilst Mulch went into the outer area and the crease to darken the look up. I used the remnants of Mulch on my brush for application just below the waterline for even more definition and warmth. I then highlighted with my trusty golden-pearl eyeshadow and used brown mascara to top the look off. I’ve filled in my brows with a new purchase, the MUFE Aqua Brow which I may or may not love a teeny tad more than my trusted eyebrow color, MAC Omega.

Concealer: MUFE Full Coverage Concealer in 17 + Collection Lasting Finish Concealer in Fair
Foundation: MUFE Pan Stick Foundation in Ivory
Powder: Chanel Natural Finish Loose Powder in 20 Clair
Blush: Chanel Cream Blush in 61 Destiny
Contour: MUFE Pan Stick Foundation in Mat Beige 7W
Highlighter: Chanel Illuminating Powder

How gorgeous does this cream foundation from Make Up For Ever look?! I’ve only just gotten it, so I’ll give it a few more weeks before properly reviewing this, but so far so good! I purchased the 11 Foundation Palette, so I opted for the shade Mat Beige for contouring purposes. It honestly looks so flawless! I used my beloved Beautyblender to apply this cream foundation, only using the tiniest amount. I then concealed my under eye area and covered up any blemishes with the help of my beloved MUFE concealer, and highlighter just under the eyes with a lighter concealer. I then went for a warm blush color to bring some warmth to my cheeks and powdered it all off with my current favorite loose powder. Just some highlighter on the tops of the cheeks and the bridge of the nose, et voila!

I’m planning on making a blog post and maybe a video about the process of building my professional make-up kit. This is what I got yesterday. Geez, I am so broke now and I’m not even done! Expect some more stuff from Make Up For Ever, MAC Cosmetics and some of those fabulous Real Techniques brushes!

I’m off to get ready for my birthday dinner now! Tell me in the comments below what items you find indispensable in your make up stash!
