Bourjois Rouge Edition

31072013

Bourjois make some of my favorite lipsticks, under which a couple from the Rouge Edition line. These three are the shades I immediately fell for – all very unique and very lovely: #02 Beige Trench, #17 Rose Millésime and #18 Violine Strass.

#17 Rose Millésime  is a coral pink with a slight golden pearl sheen.

#18 Violine Strass is a dark slightly pink plum color with a slight golden pearl sheen. It doesn’t apply too darkly though.

THE VERDICT: These lipsticks feel very luxurious. They’re creamy and thus easy to apply. They are all highly pigmented with excellent coverage – very impressive for a drugstore lipstick. They give your lips a creamy gloss and #17 and #18 even give your lips a very subtle pearl sheen. They keep my lips hydrated and smooth and have good staying power, especially for being such a creamy formula.

The Rouge Edition lipsticks come in 18 shades – although not all ‘rouge’. They are widely available and come at a price of €12.99/£7.99 a pop. A bonus is that Bourjois don’t test their products on animals! I’d definitely recommend you trying these out next time you visit a drugstore. Promise you won’t regret it!
