CHRISTMAS EVE OOTD & FOTD

25122013

WI thought I’d share with you guys what stuff I wore on both myself and my face exclusively. It’s fairly no fuss, really, as is my style.

First of all, a very Happy Christmas for all you lovelies! In our family we really only celebrate Christmas Eve. We all get together at my grandma’s place and have good food and sing along to, well, corny sing-a-long songs. So today’s Christmas Day and I’m sitting in my pajamas writing this post, anxiously waiting for night to fall so that we can all open our presents! I thought I’d share with you guys what stuff I wore on both myself and my face exclusively. It’s fairly no fuss, really, as is my style.

Eyes:

Base: MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre, Avon SuperShock Gel Eyeliner
Lid: MAC Carbon
Crease: MAC Wedge
Brow bone: MAC Vanilla Pigment
Lashes: Max Factor False Lash Effect
Eyebrows: MAC Omega

I simply applied Soft Ochre and a black gel eyeliner as a base, applied a black eyeshadow over this – and with applying I mean really packing it on there – up into the crease. I then used a warm toned brown shade to blend it all out, blending up towards the brow bone. I used whatever was left on my brush to put on the lower lash line, taking it 1/2 in. A frosty golden pearl shade as a highlighter on both the brow bone as in the inner tear duct, a generous coating of mascara and that’s pretty much it.

Face

Primer: Make Up Forever HD Primer
Concealer: Collection (2000) Lasting Perfection Concealer Fair 1, Make Up For Ever Full Cover Extreme Camouflage Creme in 4
Foundation: Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup SPF 10 in C1
Powder: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light
Blush: Chanel Le Blush Creme de Chanel in Affinité
Highlighter: MAC Vanilla Pigment

Lips

MAC Chatterbox
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Suspense

I applied a vivid pink lipstick on the lips, layering it with a more sheer raspberry shade for a more warm and festive look.

What I’m wearing

Monki Jumper Dress in Navy
H&M Necklace
Sacha Red Zip-Up Ankle Boots

I went real basic and comfortable this year. I ordered this lovely jumper dress from Monki off of ASOS, put on some simple black tights, some red ankle booties and to tie it all up I put on a golden statement necklace.
Tight dresses are either way not recommended when you’re about to feast on a three course Christmas dinner, am I right?

How did you dress up for Christmas (Eve) this year?
